Privacy policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
This policy describes how Offcourse ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites and mobile apps. If something here conflicts with a feature-specific notice inside the app, the more specific notice wins for that feature.
What we collect
Account and email. When you sign up or sign in, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address. For many accounts, sign-in and account security are handled by Supabase Auth. Supabase processes authentication data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policy. We receive what is needed to run your account (for example, an identifier and email).
Profile and usage. We collect the information you add in the app (such as practice logs, stats you enter, preferences, and content you upload). We also collect technical data needed to operate the service (such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs when something breaks).
Subscriptions. If you purchase a subscription, payment processing and subscription status are handled through the app stores and our subscription partner, RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card number from those systems. We may receive subscription status, product identifiers, and related transaction metadata needed to unlock features.
Advertising identifiers (if ads are on). If we show ads or re-integrate Google AdMob, Google may collect or use advertising identifiers and related data as described in Google's policies for ads and analytics. You can review Google's privacy materials for AdMob and adjust device-level ad settings where available.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the service, secure accounts, personalize your experience, respond to support requests, analyze aggregate usage, comply with law, and enforce our terms.
Sharing
We share information with service providers who help us run Offcourse (for example, hosting, authentication, subscription management, analytics, crash reporting, and email delivery). They may only use your information for the work they do for us, unless the law says otherwise.
App store operators (such as Apple and Google) process purchases according to their own policies.
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, to protect safety, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing in exchange for money. Where we use processors (like Supabase, RevenueCat, or ad partners), they use data to provide services to us, not to buy a marketing list from us.
Retention
We keep information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information when we can, unless we must keep limited records for legal or security reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you where the law requires notice, we will follow those requirements.
Children
Offcourse is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International users
If you use Offcourse from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection rules than your home country.
Your choices
You can update certain information in the app. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link. Device settings may let you limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers. Subscription management is handled through your app store account settings.
